TikTok-famous mop shoppers obsessed with now just $33

One mop has become so famous on social media shoppers are running into hardware stores asking specifically for the “TikTok mop”.
The Sabco clean ease flat mop wringer set has become such a huge hit at Mitre 10 that it has increased 182 per cent in sales over the past 12 months to become the store’s fastest-growing mop.
As part of Mitre 10’s mighty buys the mop has been reduced by $22 to just $33 from Wednesday September 4 to Sunday September 22, 2024.

Kath Carroll, Mitre 10 spokesperson says the flat style mop head is becoming the go-to for cleaning floors as well as surfaces you might not have considered to use a mop.
”We have a lot of people heading into our Mitre 10 stores asking for the ‘TikTok mop’, which has come to fame for helping home cleaners achieve the perfect shiny floor and funnily enough, many shoppers say it’s amazing for cleaning walls,” she tells 9honey Living.
“We’re seeing a huge trend in customers swapping the traditional cotton mop around the home with these easy to use and space effective products.”
The mop is also popular for its slim design, which features a tall bucket, rather than the usual bulky bucket. Once you’re done all the parts neatly fit back into the bucket for tidy storage.
You can also pull the mop head off the mop handle easily, toss that in the wash and pop another clean one on.
These features make it easy to pull the mop out for maintenance cleaning and doing just one room quickly, as well as more thorough cleaning.
Cleaner Jason is one of many fans of the mop to post videos on TikTok about how they use this mop.
“I’m going to clean the windows with it. All you need to do is fill the bucket up with [dishwashing liquid] and some hot water, dampen the mop in the wet compartment and dry it in the other and then you can switch out the mop head for another one and use it for something else,” he said in a TikTok video.

Next he used the mop to clean the walls because “in my opinion is the best hassle free way to do it”.
Jason of course also uses the mop to clean the floors, noting the the swivel-head means it can get into lots of hard to reach spots, like above window frames.
